If Mark and Johnny ever come up to me and start using AAVE and a blaccent, I’ll actually cry. This video is just something I can’t dismiss. The sad part is, they probably don’t think they are doing anything wrong... I wish they read our comments
@@hopeyoung8346 AAVE stands for African American Vernacular English and some of the slang words Mark and Johnny were using were AAVE. Most African Americans don’t even speak using AAVE, even Stephan Curry, that’s why it’s disrespectful that they were tryna talk to him like that just cuz he is a black man and they think it’s the cool way of speaking. It’s as if they think Stephan Curry can’t understand regular English. But the thing is, Mark and Johnny probably dont see a problem with what they are doing because they don’t know what AAVE is, they just think it’s a cool way that black people, especially portrayed in the media, speak. It’s just sad fr and thank you for asking respectfully instead of tryna throw ignorant hate at me. I still love Mark and Johnny and the whole of NCT, I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm by this.
lmoa cry about it, i have seen non-blacks speak in that tone tho. U at least should have checked their pre-debut vdo and they have been talking in that way. @@chhengkhema6250 no one is crying lmfaoooo!!!! i noticed the blaccent and commented about it. You're the one crying about my comment 8 months later. Gen Z didnt make AAVE a trend tf black america did weirdo
@@chhengkhema6250 ok first of all, you’re saying that you’ve seen a lot of non blacks using AAVE, as well as NCT (particularly johnny and mark). just because YOU’VE seen lots of people use AAVE does NOT excuse the fact they’re LITERALLY using african american culture because it’s “fun,” “trendy,” or “aesthetic,” without even knowing the meaning behind AAVE in the first place. all that means is that you’ve seen lots of racially insensitive people. what an ignorant excuse to make in regards to ur favs. also, why is it that johnny and mark used AAVE while talking about an african american, but when they speak English together or when they do English interviews, they don’t use it?? in addition, steph curry, doesn’t even HAVE an AAVE. if someone were to talk to Mark or Johnny in a stereotypical East Asian accent, you would be saying “how racist,” which it is racist because you don’t need to talk to or about someone a certain way to have a conversation, just how it wasn’t necessary for Mark and Johnny to be talking using an AAVE when talking about an african american. you can’t say that they didn’t offend black people when the situation speaks for itself; they were using AAVE particularly because they were conversing about an african american. ik it hurts to see ur favs in controversy, but their behavior was not it and they should be held accountable
I cringe during the conversation part 😭😭 I know they’re not aware of AAVE but instead of dismissing them already, let’s try to educate them about it. They had good intentions but they’re not, let’s say updated about these things. They pretty much left canada/america during a period where everyone thinks of this as an okay thing and the calling out bs in twitter isn’t a thing yet. Then they moved to Korea and learn Korean culture instead 😅 it would be nice to reach out to them just so they won’t do the same mistake again ❤️

Pinkii Lights They have been living in Korea for over a decade. I didn’t know about aave and I’m Canadian. Most people just recently learned about aave.

FRRR
girl grow up
@@aairy_ if you’re not black idc about ur opinion
Can you please explain what is wrong?

@@chhengkhema6250 no one is crying lmfaoooo!!!! i noticed the blaccent and commented about it. You're the one crying about my comment 8 months later. Gen Z didnt make AAVE a trend tf black america did weirdo
@@chhengkhema6250
ok first of all, you’re saying that you’ve seen a lot of non blacks using AAVE, as well as NCT (particularly johnny and mark). just because YOU’VE seen lots of people use AAVE does NOT excuse the fact they’re LITERALLY using african american culture because it’s “fun,” “trendy,” or “aesthetic,” without even knowing the meaning behind AAVE in the first place. all that means is that you’ve seen lots of racially insensitive people. what an ignorant excuse to make in regards to ur favs.
also, why is it that johnny and mark used AAVE while talking about an african american, but when they speak English together or when they do English interviews, they don’t use it?? in addition, steph curry, doesn’t even HAVE an AAVE. if someone were to talk to Mark or Johnny in a stereotypical East Asian accent, you would be saying “how racist,” which it is racist because you don’t need to talk to or about someone a certain way to have a conversation, just how it wasn’t necessary for Mark and Johnny to be talking using an AAVE when talking about an african american. you can’t say that they didn’t offend black people when the situation speaks for itself; they were using AAVE particularly because they were conversing about an african american.
ik it hurts to see ur favs in controversy, but their behavior was not it and they should be held accountable
